Yesterday evening and this morning the sight and sound of low flying  helicopters is a good sign that the bi annual Fastnet race is upon us and some very impressive yachts indeed have already been seen crossing South Harbour and from other vantage points around the Island. Today, there will be a Fastest trip at 2pm and this may be a good opportunity to see some of the boats at closer hand. However the low winds means the pace is very slow this  year so there will be no great excitement compared to previous years.
